Greenway UV_OPT 3-Deluxe Whole-House UV Filter System
Greenway UV_OPT 3-Deluxe Whole-House UV Filter System
Greenway UV_OPT 3-Deluxe — Whole-House UV Water Sterilisation System
The Greenway UV_OPT 3-Deluxe is a premium whole-house water treatment system combining multi-stage mechanical filtration with certified UV sterilisation. Designed for New Zealand homes on tank, bore, or rainwater supplies, this system delivers safe, chemical-free drinking water at high flow rates suitable for busy households.
The UV components in this system are tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI 55 (disinfection performance, Class B), CSA B483.1, and NSF 372 (low lead content).
System Flow Rates
- Drinking Water Standards Flow: 43LPM @ 40mJ/cm²
- Nominal Flow: 58 LPM @ 30 mJ/cm²
- Peak Flow: 111 LPM @ 16 mJ/cm²
All options exceed domestic peak flow requirements. Based on average peak domestic flow, allow 15 LPM per shower plus 10 LPM for auxiliary appliances such as dishwasher or washing machine.

Ideal For
Homes on tank water, rainwater, or bore water requiring reliable whole-house disinfection and sediment/carbon pre-treatment. Suitable for large households with multiple bathrooms and high simultaneous water demand.
PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for the complete UV filter system package. UV sterilisation is most effective when used with adequate pre-filtration — this system includes the recommended filtration stages. Read more about UV filtration stages here.
Understanding UV System Flow Rates
UV systems are rated according to the flow rate of water they can treat while delivering a specified UV dose. The higher the UV dose, the greater the level of UV treatment provided.
You may see three different flow rates listed for a UV system:
Drinking Water Standard Flow – 40 mJ/cm²
This is the flow rate at which the UV system provides a UV dose of 40 mJ/cm². This is the flow rate we recommend when the system is being used to treat drinking water, providing a higher level of UV treatment.
Nominal Flow – 30 mJ/cm²
This is the manufacturer's nominal rated flow at a UV dose of 30 mJ/cm². It provides a useful reference point when comparing UV system capacities.
Maximum Flow – 16 mJ/cm²
This is the maximum flow rate the UV system can process, but at this higher flow the UV dose is reduced to 16 mJ/cm². This should not be considered the appropriate flow rate for drinking-water applications, and is best for applications such as algae reduction, and clarification.
Which flow rate should I use?
For drinking water applications, we recommend sizing the UV system using the 40 mJ/cm² flow rate, NOT the maximum flow figure.
When choosing a UV system, it's important to consider the maximum flow your property could require at one time, not simply the average daily water use. A system that is too small may not provide the required UV dose when several taps or appliances are operating simultaneously.
If you're unsure which UV system is right for your property, contact WTS and we can help you select a system based on your expected flow rate and application.
