Water Tank Solutions Ltd (trading as WTS) stands behind the quality of the products we supply and the work we carry out. This page outlines the warranty coverage that applies to products and installation services provided by WTSNZ.

Your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply in addition to any warranty and are not limited by it.

1. Workmanship Warranty

All installation and service work carried out by WTS is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of installation, subject to the following conditions:

  • The system has been used for its intended purpose and operated in accordance with any instructions provided
  • The system has been maintained in accordance with any maintenance requirements advised by WTS
  • The fault or failure is not the result of misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, or interference by a third party
  • The fault or failure is not caused by pre-existing site conditions that were not disclosed or apparent at the time of installation

2. Product Warranty

Products supplied by WTS carry the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable. Warranty periods and terms vary by product and manufacturer. Please refer to the documentation supplied with your product or contact us for specific warranty information.

Common warranty periods for products we supply include:

  • Pumps: typically 12–24 months manufacturer warranty
  • Water tanks: manufacturer structural warranty (varies by brand and tank type)
  • Filtration systems and components: typically 12 months
  • Irrigation equipment: varies by brand and product type

These are indicative only — please check the specific product documentation for confirmed warranty terms.

3. What Is Not Covered

The following are generally not covered under warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or failure to maintain the system
  • Damage caused by external factors such as flooding, power surges, or acts of nature
  • Consumable items such as filter cartridges, UV lamps, and seals
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Pre-existing site or infrastructure issues not related to our work

4. Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Date of purchase or installation
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos or supporting information where possible

We will assess your claim and respond within 3 business days. Where a claim is accepted, we will arrange repair, replacement, or another appropriate remedy at our discretion.

5. Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If a product or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of any warranty period.
